DeSantis has a very tight cirlce of advisers that hgave served him wel as governor. However, once he get on the natioinal stage, (assuming he runs, which is HIGHLY likely) , he will be under much more intense scrutiny, no longer solely have the protection of his current staff and will have to compete with a whole slew of factors -

* intense press attention

* deeper scrutinty of his record

* attacks from political opponents

* his very controversal decisions to implement draconian laws as governor etc...

In essenve, his flaws and weaknesses will be exposed. It will not be pretty.
