Hello James. Your response is exactly why I referred to Little Richard as complex and complicated. I think he was also opportunistic to some degree. In the middle of his career he actually identified himself as bisexual, gay and omnisexual. IIt is my opinion that he adopted whatever stance would be most financially lucrative for him Being an older man, it would likely be much more practical to take an anti-Gay position. After all, his health was failing, he was not getting entertainment gigs and he was more than likely thinking about how to survive the remaining years of his life.

I AM CERTAINLY NOT CONDONING SUCH BEHAVIOR I am simply stating that Little Richard was looking out for what would be best for Little Richard. That is my view of the situation.
