Improving k-12 education is important to be sure. I am an ARDENT supporter of pre school, head start, montessori schools and other educational tools in an effort to assist poor and lower income students gain a competitive advangtage in the education arena. That being said, the fact is that while class consideration is an ideal compliment to the policy of affirative action, most discrimination in this nation is still based on race. Non-White people, in particualr , Black Americans are still vulnerable to racial discrimination regardless of level of education and socio economic status. Racism is still and endemic cancer in our society and the playing field is still FAR FROM LEVEL. Until such racial, economic, saocial and cultural disparties are rectified, we still some form of racial consideration in the judical arena.
