There is no question that there are cases where class trumps race. The Simpson Trial is a good example. The primary reasson why OJ.Simpson was acquitted of murder (yes, I believe he was guilty) I said so back in 1995, was due to the fact that he was a man of wealth.

While we cannot ignore the racial elements of the trial. Black man murders two White people. One of them is female, blond and a former beauty queen and gets away with it was too much for many White people to endure. This symbolizes loss of control.

Nonetheless, I concur with your assessment that there are indeed situations where class superceeds race. Poor Whites suffer from the same indignities and economic marginaliztion as their poor and lower income non-Whites co-horts. Though , despite this fact, many (not all) poor and lower income Whites tend to want to blame non-White, especially Black people , and more recenetly, immigrants, for their situations.
